Ian Trowbridge

Ian took up photography at age 11 when he was given his first camera. Initially trained in film and wet darkroom processes, he was an early user of PCs for scanning film and for digital manipulation. For the last ten years he has worked as a commercial photographer, undertaking commissions for companies and individuals, concentrating on PR and publicity requirements, e.g. portraits, people at work, and architecture and interiors. He’s worked extensively with musicians, orchestras and bands, both off-stage and during gigs and performances, and with musical events and festivals, and has also created websites, books and large screen presentations for clients.
Ian is a regular user of Photoshop and other image processing software, and runs special sessions for BTec and other courses on the creation of large panoramas and 360 degree images.

Working with musicians has also led Ian to create a home studio, where he makes recordings with bands, singers, musicians, songwriters and voice artists. Ian uses computer hard-disk recording with industry standard ProTools software, and has portable multi-track capability for location recording.
