Mike Raycroft

Mike's career in broadcasting began with Independent Television News, working initially as senior cameraman. He then moved into directing and production management. He was production manager on two general election programmes and many major royal events. He moved to training as head of production training and development for ITN.

In addition to working with ITN, he also worked freelance for the BBC and Meridian Broadcasting as well as directing programmes including World News and World Business Today for CNN International in London.

Moving to training consultancy, he was responsible designing and delivering training programmes for many new digital start-up stations around the world, including the world's first digital satellite network in Italy, followed by Asia's first digital network in Malaysia.

His passion for the development of talent in broadcasting was recognised when he won a prestigious national training award for his work on the design of a major programme for the management of change to new technologies in broadcast production.
